Antispila petryi

Antispila petryi and Antispila treitschkiella were formerly regarded as the same species. In 2018 a paper was published in Nota Lepidopterologica which split them and proved that they fed on different foodplants - More Info .

Antispila petryi larvae are miners of the leaves of Dogwood, Cornus sanguinea, and Antispila treitschkiella larvae are miners of the leaves of Cornelian Cherry, Cornus mas.

The leafmines of Antispila petryi and Antispila metallella in Dogwood, Cornus sanguinea,are very similar but can be seperated - see the various resources.
