Bedfordshire status
This species was thought to be extinct in the county as none had been seen since one at Flitwick Moor on 20 Aug 1976. The previous record to this was at Putnoe Wood (Bedford) on 03 Aug 1968 these being the first two records since 1927.

However, one came to actinic light at a site south of Bedford on 11/05/2024 and the species is doing well and seems to be on the increase in South Buckinghamshire to our SW. There have also been recent records in south Hertfordshire and Middlesex so definitely a species to look for where Field Maple abounds.
